"From the time we started reviving New York Poets Theatre, Alan and I had been in agreement about one main point: we needed George Herms in New York with us to make it happen. George and Louise and Alan and I had gotten very close in Topanga [Canyon]; we were used to doing things together, pooling resources, watching each other's babies. [...]
